DOMESTIC DIFFERENCES

| Price: $310.00 Code: 1678 |
Examines the relationship between Francis Mcnam, a black domestic worker in Cape
Town, and her white employers, the Silberman family, graphically illustrating the vast
difference in the quality of life for blacks and whites in South Africa. The video
documents Francis's daily chores in the Silberman household and also visits Francis and
her family at their home in the nearby black township. The dramatic events surrounding
South Africa's first free electoral campaign in 1994 provide an additional perspective on
the hopes, dreams and fears of both sectors of the country's populace.
