The film focuses on the Miss California Beauty Pageant and the emotionally charged debate that has occurred in recent years. It features rare archival footage of Miss America and Miss California pageants dating back to the 1920s as well as contemporary footage of recent pageants. The film also features interviews with Pageant contestants and officials, feminist authors and protestors.
