Chronicles the life and career of Todd Webb, one of America's greatest photographers. The video interweaves interviews with the 92-year-old Webb with a selection of his elegant black-and-white photos from the last fifty years. Webb's photos, which record the drama of everyday life and touch a common chord of humanity, include photos taken in Paris and New York in the Forties and Fifties, and in the American West, when he retraced the Gold Rush trails, in the Fifties and Sixties. The video also recounts Webb's friendships with Alfred Stieglitz and Georgia O'Keeffe, his lifelong relationship with his wife Lucille, and commentary by curator Grace Meyer, historian Beaumont Newhall, and fellow photographer Harry Callahan.
