Price: $175.00 Code: 1194 |
This inspiring documentary examines the participation of the blind and visually impaired
in competitive athletic events, including track and field, swimming, judo, basketball, and
goal ball. The athletes discuss training methods and techniques unique to blind sporting
events and their coaches discuss how they learned that that blind are far more capable
than they expected. The athletes also explain how their participation in sports has helped
them develop self-confidence and overcome feelings of humiliation, denial and isolation.
Their accomplishments also serve to shatter the general public's misconceptions and
stereotypes about the disabled.
