Examines one of the most misunderstood mental illnesses, schizophrenia, and attempts to
dispel the widespread misconceptions, fears and myths about it. Schizophrenia, which
today affects forty million people worldwide, is a biological disease of the brain which
distorts the way a person thinks and experiences the world, and often leads to
hallucinations, delusions and episodes of psychosis. The video features interviews with
doctors, families of schizophrenics, and a cross section of schizophrenics who recount
their daily struggles with the illness.
