RETURN TO THE WARSAW GHETTO
Price: $310.00 Code: 1518 |
On April 19, 1993, thousands of Jews from all over the world gathered in Warsaw to
observe the 50th anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising, one of the few truly heroic
events for Jews during World War II. Many were survivors of the ghetto, returning for
the first time since the war. This documentary follows three families as they return to
Warsaw, revisit memorable sites from their past, attempt to come to terms with this
horrific experience, and to pass on their knowledge and experience to their children.

"The personal stories of three survivors are affectingly related...Although many Holocaust experiences have been told before, this inspiring chapter never loses its impact."-Booklist (American Library Association)
"If students are prepared for the film, they will gain a great deal of understanding of how the pain inflicted by the Nazis still continues. The message here will stay with viewers for a long time."-School Library Journal
