This cinema-verite documentary records the activities of the 93rd Congress, whose members, while involved in historic proceedings such as the investigation of President Nixon's role in the Watergate burglary and cover-up and the ensuing impeachment hearings, are also shown to be preoccupied with more mundane but no less important activities, both in Washington and their home districts, including meeting with lobbyists and with constituents, working the phones in their offices, debating new legislation, making public appearances and "pressing the flesh", rushing to House votes, and conducting national and local press conferences. This video offers an unusually revealing, behind-the-scenes look at the hectic daily working lives of our elected members of the Senate and House of Representatives.
